Our family had a unique and memorable stay at Alcatraz Camping in Sweden. Initially a bit quirky to locate entrances and registration within a refurbished factory space, the setting exuded an intriguing charm that piqued our curiosity. The hostel's old factory backdrop provided a fascinating backdrop, surrounded by serene countryside and picturesque lakes.As a family-friendly establishment, the generous breakfast spread catered to all tastes, while the shared kitchen facilitated personalized meal preparations. During our visit over the Midsommer holiday, we appreciated the attentive service despite the bustling period. The inclusion of guided activities such as wall climbing, archery, and raft building added an adventurous twist to our stay, making it even more engaging for both kids and adults.While we didn't utilize the shared showers, the eco-friendly touch of a communal hand towel reflected the hostel's sustainability efforts. One quirky aspect was being thankful that the roof held up during our stay, adding a touch of light-heartedness to our experience.Alcatraz Camping provided an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for families, offering a blend of nature, activities, and unique accommodations that made our vacation truly special.
